Household Storage Tips

Make a list of all the items you wish to store beforehand.
For Household Self Storage dismantle furniture where possible, detach legs etc. to save space. Wrap legs in bubble wrap to avoid damage.
Place dust sheets or protective covers over soft furnishings, and use dust sheets between items to protect from scratching.
For Self Storage pack fragile or delicate items with care such as: pictures, glass etc. ensuring they are protected with bubble wrap and the box is marked as fragile.

Business Storage Tips

For Business Self Storage be sure to label or number your boxes for easy reference and plan your storage space so that items or files you want to access more frequently are easily accessible.
Fill each box carefully, and remember to not overfill as this may cause the box to collapse or you may find it difficult to lift.
Try to store office electrical equipment and computers in their original boxes or boxes of a similar size.

Caravan Storage Tips

To avoid flat spots on tyres remove the wheels or raise them off the ground.
Ensure that the water system is completely drained before storing for long periods of time .
If storing your caravan throughout the winter months be sure to place a plastic bag over the chimney on the caravan roof. This will prevent rain, sleet or snow entering and causing any damage.

Vehicle Storage Tips

To protect the paintwork ensure that you wash and wax the vehicle prior to storage. This will prevent corrosion.
Cover the vehicle with a well ventilated protective sheet for outdoor storage.
Ensure that the seals are in good quality prior to storage, this will prevent mould and damp within the vehicle.
