Self Storage Frequently asked questions
Our head office is open 8am – 5pm, 7 days a week should you have any questions or wish to speak to a member of a team. However, if you have signed a contract to rent one of our self storage containers then you can come and go as you please as you will have 24.7 access to our secure container compound.
2 weeks.
A one off deposit of £125 is required in order to secure a container. This deposit will be held on account against any damage caused to the container, any unpaid fees and the padlock and two keys (should you take an 80 or 160 sq ft unit and these items not be returned to us when you vacate your unit).
Should you wish to vacate your container then you are required to give us two weeks notice. Once you have handed in your notice, you will then need to ensure that your belongings are removed from your container and your two storage keys are returned to our office by the time your notice period comes to an end.
We will need to take a photocopy of your driving licence or passport. We are unable to accept any other means of identification.
Yes. All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT.
Should you wish to access your container out of hours once the site has been closed for the day, then you will need to call the security guard who is on duty. The site mobile for our security team is outlined on the front of security hut, located by the site entrance. Our security guard will ask to see your storage keys in order to grant you access to your unit.
If you sign a conract to take out one of our larger units, 80 or 160 sq ft in size, you will be required to secure your unit with one of our padlocks.
If you sign a contract to take out one of our smaller units, 40 or 50 sq ft in size then you will need to provide your own padlock.
No. Our containers are not let with insurance. Should you wish to insure your goods then you will need to arrange this separately with a designated insurance provider.
Once your belongings have been removed from your container, you storage keys have been returned to the office and your unit has been checked, we will return your deposit. We aim to return storage deposits within 7 working days.
If you have chosen to take out a monthly contract with us, payment will be taken on the first of each month by direct debit. If you have chosen to take out a 6 month contract or 12 month contract, payment will be taken in advance by BACS or debit card.
Very easy! Vehicles (including removal vans) can drive up to the front door of almost all of our containers.
No. Our containers do not come with an electric point.
